Understanding: The most important thing in the design process is to determine the situation or requirement. What are needs and requirements that are to be met? Based on understanding your specific needs and requirements, the following areas are addressed: use, size, resources, materials, budget, regulations and placement.
Understanding is accomplished during the consultation process. The information compiled during this process is input to the next step.
Ideas: After a thorough review of information compiled during the consultation process, several ideas are developed to provide workable solutions. Solutions are addressed as they relate to special needs, accessibility, adaptability and/or universal designs. The solutions are evaluated for feasibility and one or more of the solutions are selected for the Concept development.
Concept: The Design Concept is developed for presentation from the selected solutions. This is your opportunity determine if the design meets your needs. This is a collaborative step, open for adjustments, refinements and design finalization. Once the design is finalized, you have the opportunity to continue using A S DESIGN STUDIOS services for the next steps.
